There's a photograph "as completed" located at, of all places, uboat.net (http://uboat.net/allies/warships/ship/2963.html. If it's accurate, it would appear she was completed with the full original GATO fairwater and streamlined shears. Of course, that still doesn't say whether they put her into the Navy Yard at Pearl and did some cutting before sending her out.
