For the loading procedure (found in the above mentioned site), use this http://www.maritime.org/fleetsub/tubes/chap11.htm#11A . The first thing covered is the loading procedure, and the reasons for each step.
I'll see if one of my W.W.II Sub Vet buddies remembers the reload times, and get back to you on that.
