 Re: TDC on S-class?

The standard method of calculating attack solutions without a TDC or other mechanical computing device was the Mark 8 Angle Solver, also called an Is-Was. This was a circular slide rule, which may be observed in some old photographs, usually worn on a lanyard around the approach officer's neck. Unfortunately, I've never been able to find a detailed close up photograph of one of these.

I don't believe any of the S-boats ever received a TDC installation, mostly, I'd suspect, because there would have been no room for it.
